Policy

Terms of service.

The agreement between you and Rainfall, written in plain language.

Effective June 5, 2026

1. Welcome

These terms are the agreement between you and Alan Wizemann, LLC(the maker of Rainfall; “we,” “us”) for using the Rainfall iOS and macOS apps and the website at rainfallmeditation.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. What Rainfall is — and isn't

Rainfall is a guided-meditation app. It infers a gentle, suggestive “Mind Weather” read from your device signals and offers a short practice that fits.

Rainfall is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, therapy, or a substitute for any of those. The Mind Weather read is suggestive, never diagnostic. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

3. Your account (or lack of one)

Rainfall doesn't require an account. Your data — Mind Weather, notes, climate history — stays on your device or, optionally, in your own iCloud. See our privacy policy.

4. Free tier, Rainfall Plus, and trials

Rainfall is free to begin. Rainfall Plusis an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks personalized on-demand sessions and additional content. Pricing, billing periods, and any free trial terms are shown in the App Store at the moment of purchase and are governed by Apple's standard subscription rules.

Subscriptions auto-renew until you turn auto-renewal off in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are governed by Apple. See our refund policy.

5. Synthetic content disclosure

Every voice in Rainfall is AI-generated— designed for Rainfall in ElevenLabs Voice Design. We don't license real people. Every music bed is synthesized in a Stable Audio-class model and curated by us. We disclose this clearly because it's part of how the product works and because we promised we would.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harm yourself or others.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially license the Rainfall audio, scripts, or other content, or use them to train any AI model.
  • Reverse-engineer the catalog, the on-device Mind Weather inference, or any other component except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Interfere with our infrastructure, attempt to bypass entitlements, or use automated means to scrape the catalog.

7. Intellectual property

Rainfall and its content (audio, scripts, design, marks) are owned by us and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use while these terms remain in effect.

The Rainfall application code is licensed under the Heirloom License — variant HL-1.0-MPL2.0-12mo. If Rainfall is ever truly abandoned (12 months of silence with no answer to a good-faith support request), the source automatically opens under MPL-2.0, forever.

8. Health data

Rainfall may, with your permission, read data from Apple Health and Calendar to infer your Mind Weather. This processing happens on your device. We do not transmit, store, or share your health or calendar data. You can revoke these permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where reasonable, give you notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Rainfall after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply where they would override this clause.
